I have to admit that both cards are quite good at overclocking. Was just playing UT2k3 on full detail, Anti-Aliasing x16 and x with fps constant.
Sure Savage was a good gfx chipset when it came out. Were you seriously expecting to play games on such an saavage2000 gfx card? I didn't look at my card. I ran one for months and it was superb.
Intel core i5 k MHz Memory: The test was done in 16 bit mode. Savage is not only buggy and unsupported but hideously slow.
Austin never slag off a savage4, it is a legendary card. S3 just went downhill as soon as 3D graphics acceleration went mainstream.

Has serious issues with many D3D games of its time too. Savage can do twice as much in Quake 3.
There was also supposed to be a Plus that would clock onno3d MHz. But when Savage is overclocked than it is better than overclocked Savage 4 The game is even fully playable at higher resulutions with maximum settings on both Savage 4 and Savage when overclocked.
